The biggest food critic on the internet was in the 6ix and it’s safe to say the city did not disappoint him.

Keith Lee visited Toronto over the weekend and made three stops to grab delicious shawarma, pizza and desserts.

The TikToker, with over 16 million followers on his platform, checked out Sumaq Iraqi Charcoal Grill in Scarborough, Biscuits & Baskets in Ajax and Afros Pizza in downtown Toronto, so far.

Lee gave each food item pretty high ranks, ranging from seven to nine out of 10.

And to say the city was excited to welcome him is an understatement.

“The eagle has landed,” one user wrote.

“The GOAT is in the 6ix,” another user said.

Others were thrilled to see him in Scarborough after locals went to bat for their communities and the amazing immigrant-owned restaurants there.

“Damn Keith lee comes to Toronto and hits up Scarb first? Respect,” another person said.

“MANS PULLED UP TO SCARBZ!!!,” someone chimed in.

Lee even credited food bloggers Sarah and Ugbaad who run an account called @mixinthe6ix for putting him on.

@Keith Lee is coming to Toronto, so of course we had to let him know our picks! Our city is so diverse, and we wanted our recommendations to reflect that and have you try some cultural food that you haven’t tried before. Scarborough is the most multicultural area of Toronto, with the best food and the best people, and it’s always so overlooked, which is why if you’re coming to Toronto, you have to visit our home! #torontofood #scarboroughfood #keithlee #torontosmallbusiness #somalifood #srilankanfood #ethiopianfood #srilankanfood #foodtour #scarboroughfoodspots #halalfoodtoronto #downtowntoronto #mixinthe6ix

THE KEITH LEE EFFECT

Although Lee came and went, he didn’t go without leaving his mark, in a way only he can.

Not only did he leave a tip of $2,500 and $3,000 for the owners of the restaurant, but he also brought major business to the locations as seen in videos already being posted online.

“Canadian small businesses are really going to flourish with Keith Lee here. I’m so happy for us,”one user wrote.

“The Keith Lee effect has gone international!,” another user said.

And the love was reciprocated. The son of the owners of Biscuits & Baskets took to Instagram and thanked Lee for swinging by.

“We are super humbled by the @keith_lee125 visit and appreciate the love and support,” the caption read in part.

Sumaq also gave their thanks.

“So blessed to have @keith_lee125 come to @sumaqbbq as his first stop in his Toronto tour!,” the restaurant wrote on Instagram.
