In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Pink Floyd’s iconic album “The Dark Side of the Moon,” Civilian House of Cannabis at 71 Front St E, Toronto, ON M5E 1T9, proudly presents an extraordinary 360° immersive audiovisual exhibit in collaboration with Montreal’s NEST Immersion. This unique experience invites fans and newcomers alike to dive into the sonic and visual universe of one of rock music’s most legendary albums.
The Dark Side of the Moon: An Immersive Audiovisual Experience transforms the album into a multi-sensory journey within a cutting-edge dome environment. This exhibit is part of a global initiative, with the Civilian House of Cannabis being among the exclusive 100 venues worldwide granted rights to showcase this mesmerizing show.
The exhibit beautifully juxtaposes striking images of space with the album’s compelling musical narrative. Each song is accompanied by a visual dimension, alternating between futuristic visions and nostalgic nods to Pink Floyd’s retro iconography. The visuals have been masterfully crafted by NSC Creative studio, in close collaboration with Aubrey Powell, a long-time creative partner of Pink Floyd. The entire album has been remastered in surround sound, delivering an auditory experience that is as immersive as it is breathtaking.
Employing state-of-the-art full-dome projection technology, the exhibit creates a seamless 360° visual display that immerses viewers in the music. This innovative technology enhances the sensory experience by surrounding the audience with high-resolution imagery, making them feel as if they are part of the album’s narrative. The dome at Civilian House of Cannabis now offers an unparalleled setting for this legendary album.
